Blending natural oils and ingredients straight from her pantry, she crafted formulas that heal, nourish, and care for both hair and skin.
What started as a family solution quickly grew into a community favorite, loved for its organic ingredients and versatility—providing one product for the whole family. A Personal Journey
From Struggles to Self-Love
My name is Flora, and I’m a South Sudanese Australian living in Melbourne. I grew up in Africa, where most people shared similar hair textures to mine, but for some reason, I always thought long, straight hair was the standard of beauty. Every year, my friends and I would straighten each other’s hair before Christmas, causing significant damage, only to let it recover over the course of the year before repeating the process.
This belief was reinforced when I moved to Australia as a teenager, where the beauty standard seemed to be long, straight hair—at least it was back then. I turned to weaves and wigs, but a decade later, I realized the damage I had done to my natural hair was almost irreversible.
With age comes wisdom, and over time, I began to see beauty in my natural hair. I had to relearn how to care for it, and during this transformative journey, I had my first daughter. This moment became a turning point for me. As a minority in Australia, I knew she might one day question the beauty of her textured hair, and I wanted to set an example for her. I realised that in order for her to see the beauty in her own hair, I needed to love and embrace mine first.

Embracing Natural Beauty, One Step at a Time
After my daughter was born, I began searching for gentle, natural products for her delicate skin and hair. But when I looked at the ingredients on the labels, I was horrified by what I found. That’s when I decided to turn to my pantry. I started using simple ingredients like olive and coconut oils, and the results were immediate. I was relieved knowing I was using something safe enough to eat.
Her hair grew so healthy, and I began braiding it. As I dived deeper into the research, I discovered more lightweight oils that absorbed easily into the hair, without leaving any greasy residue. That’s how our very first product, Rosemary Hair Regrowth Oil, was born. I wanted to create something gentle enough for my daughter, yet effective enough for me to use as well.
As my youngest daughter struggled with sensitive skin, I began creating skincare products at home for her, which our whole family ended up using. To this day, our Body Cream is a favorite in our home.
This journey has been incredible—one I didn’t expect, but I’m so grateful I embraced it. I remember a day when my daughter came home from childcare and asked me to straighten her hair because the other kids told her that her “nappy hair” looked messy. It was then I realized just how important it was for me to have made the switch before she came along.
She might not see it today, but she sees the love and care that goes into her hair. As she grows and learns to nourish her natural curls, I know that one day she will love her kinky hair as much as I do, and she will see the beauty in it that I see every day.

The most rewarding part was seeing the results firsthand. Moms who had struggled to find safe, gentle options for their children were coming back, telling me how much healthier and happier their little ones’ hair looked. Their excitement mirrored the joy I felt when I first discovered how powerful natural ingredients could be. What started as a personal solution for my family quickly evolved into something much bigger—a community united by a shared love for gentle, natural care.
